The overlap of passion and dreams!

“I have a dream “ – Martin Luther King Jr.

“May your choses reflect your hopes, not your fears” – Nelson Mandela

If you start or continue to develop a business, it is essential to stay close to your passions and dreams. The advantage of passion is that it can stimulate you from day one to get the best out of yourself. The art of applying your passion is to formulate your passion clearly for yourself and your team and then to do it on a daily basis as you would with a fire in a cold winter. The advantage of dreams is that they are concrete images of a hopeful future. A good leader always inspires
people (including customers and employees) by hope; by showing them the exciting future. Just like your passion, you must clearly formulate your dream and cultivate it daily.

Passions and dreams are fundamental ingredients for the entrepreneur to continuously inspire himself, his employees and his customers. Those who do not are lost in the overload of information of this time. Passions and dreams should be clearly formulated, be alive and dynamic, and ofcourse inspiring.

Tips to nurture your dreams:

  1. Spend time to think about and answer these question
    • Why am I in this business?
    • Why do I want to serve these specific customers?
    • Why am I passionate about my products/services?
    • What are the dreams for my customers, employees and company?
  2. Have a dialogue with your team regarding your answers and also give them a chance to share their thoughts on these questions?
